Kava (Piper methysticum) is traditionally used for relief of

Actions: Diuretic and urinary antiseptic, antispasmodic, mental stimulant in small doses otherwise depressant, anxiolytic, sedative (mild), skeletal muscle relaxant, analgesic (mild), anaesthetic (local).

Description

Kava was used as an important ingredient in the traditional medicine of many Pacific Islands societies.

Kava beverage was regarded as having sedative activity, able to soothe the nerves, relax the mind and body, induce refreshing sleep and to ease pain.

  • Upset digestion (especially in children), constipation,

    leprosy,

  • To relax fatigue-stiffened muscles.

Directions for use:

Adults: 7.5 mLs 2 x day with food or after food

Children (6-12 years): 5 mLs 1 x day with or after food
