HISTORY STORY OF THE 4 THIEVES:
In the early 1300’s, the Bubonic Plague (Black Death) swept through Europe. It is believed that during this tragic period, four thieves went from house to house, robbing those who had succumbed to this terrible viral illness.
After a great run, the thieves were captured and tried for their many acts of robbery. However, the Judge granted them leniency only if the 4 thieves gave up their secret formula and shared with the Jury how they were able to be in close contact with those afflicted people yet not be affected themselves by the virus and even stayed perfectly healthy. Needless to say, they relinquished their formula to the Judge and the rest is history.
