Private Yoga Classes or Group Yoga Classes

Explore somatic practices that nurture the body and ease the mind

  • Gentle flow
  • Restorative yoga
  • Energy flow
  • Meditation
This class has 2 parts  –  physical and meditative

The physical practice is a relatively slow, flowing exploration of poses.  The aim is to give yogis the opportunity to pay attention to the sensations that show up in their bodies when they practise without striving.  The added bonus is an increase in both physical and mental power.

The meditative practice is Yoga Nidra.  A guided meditation that is mostly practised lying down.  It is profoundly relaxing, taking the body/mind into a state where deep healing can occur.  It is also a pathway to higher states of consciousness.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

KERRY LYONS

For most of my life yoga has been a guiding force.  It announced itself when I was in my early twenties and has been nudging me along ever since.

It started where mostly we all start, with putting my body into weird shapes and seeing what happened.  What happened was greater strength and flexibility and, wonder of wonders, ways of healing.  I have been a sporty person all my life so there were many old injuries and imbalances to explore and right.

Unexpectedly, for me, yoga also helped to lessen my chronic anxiety.  It gave me ways to deal with mental stress, ways that were kind and gentle.  I couldn’t believe how wonderful it made me feel.

Teacher training showed up as a way of deepening my practice.  As it turned out teaching was the next step.  So, now I am privileged to be able to share what I have learned, to help others along their own path.

New worlds have opened up and continue to open up, all without my consciously looking for them.  I could never have imagined that I would attend trainings in New York, that I would teach at retreats in Bali, India and Thailand, or that I would grace the cover of a yoga magazine at the age of 67!  Yoga has irrevocably changed my life.
